Designer takes Napapijri creative role
Fashion designer Christopher Raeburn has confirmed that he is taking up the post of global creative director of Napapijri.
Napapijri has been part of VF Corporations since 2004 but was founded in Piedmont in the late 1980s and has its roots in using materials such as waxed cotton canvas fabrics in jackets, sleeping bags and backpacks. Christopher Raeburn’s previous work with brands including Eastpak and The North Face show that he shares an interest in these materials.
Of his new role, he said: “I’m passionate about creating authentic, functional, and responsible designs that incorporate innovative materials and products. Napapijri is a brand that truly embodies these qualities. I’m excited to work with the team and explore the incredible Napapijri archive that dates back to the start of the brand in 1987.”
He said he would continue to develop his own brand, Raeburn Design, while working with Napapijri.
