Current Olympic golf champion Xander Schauffele has signed a multi-year contract with Japanese sportswear brand Descente.

From the start of 2024, the Olympic gold-winner will wear apparel from Descente in training and competitions. He will also work with the Japanese group to develop golf products and “strengthen its golf category line-up”, particularly in Japan, South Korea and China.

Descente chief executive, Shuichi Koseki, said the agreement with Xander Schauffele would “ensure the further evolution of the brand”.
