German sports brand adidas has released 49 new athletic shoe models, made to keep pace with 41 different disciplines, in time for upcoming competitions such as the Summer Olympics in Paris.

Twenty-plus silhouettes will be worn by athletes competing this summer, the company said.

The various black-and-white designs have each been developed with events ranging from running to basketball, tennis, boxing, breakdancing and skateboarding in mind.

All share some form of “fire-inspired” graphic or effect to echo “the innate passion shared by athletes, who represent the pinnacle of their respective sports on the world stage”, adidas added.
