The general manager of greentech company RE&UP, Andreas Dorner, has been named as the new managing director of the Dornbirn Global Fibre Congress.

RE&UP has developed technology that enables textile waste recycling into new ready-to- raw materials.

Mr Dorner was a senior executive at Lenzing until the end of 2023.

The organisers of the event, which next takes place in Dornbirn from September 11-13, said having Mr Dorner in the role would mean topics such as sustainability and recycling were sure to feature prominently at this year’s conference and at future editions.
