Peak Sport announces new Xinyang headquarters
Quanzhou-based athletic apparel and footwear company Peak Sport has inaugurated new headquarters in Xinyang, Henan province, approximately 1,200 kilometres from its home city, local media have reported.
The facility will be built in the Henanese city’s Yanshan New District and is to serve as the brand and manufacturer’s ‘northern’ base.
An activewear factory, logistics centre and supply chain management hub will all be erected on site.
Peak already has four major southern production bases for sports clothing, shoes and accessories across Jiangxi province and Quanzhou, Fujian province. Its internal research and development network further stretches from Xi’an to Los Angeles, by way of Xiamen, Beijing and Quanzhou.
The company cited Xinyang’s location, industrial infrastructure and convenient transportation links as among the reasons for its decision. City administrators are also known to encourage investment in the development of the local textile, intelligent manufacturing and green building economies.
