A trail-running shoe called the Agravic Speed Ultra, which adidas launched as a prototype in 2023, is now gone on general release under the sports group’s Terrex brand.

It worked with researchers at the University of Salzburg on technology that has gone into the shoe, including Lightstrike Pro foam, energy rods and what it called a “new, dynamic rocker geometry” for efficient forefoot running.
