Special helmet commemorates a Canadian cycling triumph
Cycling and snowsports equipment brand POC has launched a limited-edition product that it will start selling online on Saturday, April 6.
It is an exclusive cycling helmet that marks the first anniversary of Alison Jackson’s win in the women’s Paris-Roubaix road race in 2023. The helmet will go on sale on the day of the 2024 edition of the women’s race, which takes place the day before the men’s event.
Last year’s was the third edition of the women’s race. Alison Jackson became the first Canadian rider to win one of cycling’s Great Classic events.
The product is a version of POC’s Ventral Air Mips helmet, which the Swedish company has named the Alison Jackson Cobbles edition, in homage to the cyclist and to the famous cobblestones that riders have to negotiate at various points along the route to Roubaix.
