Peruvian mill opts for EarthColors
Textile mill Nuevo Mundo has partnered with textile chemicals provider Archroma to offer collections coloured using EarthColors dyes, which are based on non-edible agricultural waste.
Lima-based Nuevo Mundo specialises in the spinning, weaving and dyeing of cotton flat fabrics and their blends. It has a focus on the development and innovation of denim fabric.
It says that, in the course of its 75-year history, it has worked closely with apparel brands to help them expand into new markets, “with value-added products that capture growing consumer demand for quality and sustainability”.
It has said that its use of EarthColors will help it reduce its water footprint, enhance its use of natural resources and help it combat climate change.
