Careful cotton choices in Ternua collection
Basque outdoor brand Ternua has included cotton from regenerative agriculture programme Good Earth Cotton in one of its collections for the first time.
Good Earth Cotton launched in Australia and works to encourage farmers around the world to produce “climate-positive traceable cotton”.
Ternua has said that all of the cotton it will use in its spring-summer 2025 collection will be organic, recycled or come from the Good Earth Cotton programme.
It will use the cotton in its New Earth Spirit line, in which 95% of the garments are circular, Ternua says. Measures it has taken to achieve this include working with “an elastic construction fabric” to allow it to stop using elastane, thereby making recycling easier.
It is also using HeiQ Mint antibacterial treatment in the garments to eliminate odour using organic components instead of heavy metals, in this case.
