Chemical recycling makes an important contribution, BASF says
Chemicals group BASF will take part in the 2024 Plastics Recycling Show Europe in Amsterdam on June 19 and 20.
At the event, BASF will argue that chemical recycling of plastic-based fibres complements mechanical recycling and can increase overall recycling rates and make an important contribution to “a more circular economy for plastics”.
The group has its own chemical recycling business, called ChemCycling. It uses plastic waste-based feedstock to process high-performance products.
There are now around 240 products in the ChemCycling range, which customers can use in a wide range of applications, including functional textiles.
