Specialist producer of regenerated cellulosic fibres Lenzing has been named as the recipient of one of the top prizes at the 2024 Vienna Stock Exchange Sustainability Awards. Lenzing came top in the industrial category.

A member of the group’s management board, Christian Skilich, said that the award was a reflection of the hard work it had done to make the textile industry more sustainable.

But he said that further work was necessary across the entire industry to transform the textile business from a linear to a circular economy.
