Chief executive announcement from Lenzing
Fibres group Lenzing has announced that the former president of Huntsman Textile Effects Rohit Aggarwal is to join the group and will take over as Lenzing chief executive by March 2025 at the latest.
Mr Aggarwal will assume responsibility for Lenzing’s fibre division during the third quarter of 2024 and will become group chief executive when current post-holder, Stephan Sielaff departs. Lenzing has said Mr Sielaff will leave the group when his current contract expires in March next year.
On announcing Rohit Aggarwal as his replacement, it described the CEO-in-waiting as a strategic business economist and global leader with several decades of experience in leading positions in the textile and chemical industry. It said Mr Aggarwal has “a sound understanding of the strategic development of international markets”.
“I am very much looking forward to the new role and the opportunity to strengthen Lenzing as a leading player in the sustainable fibre industry in the coming years,” Rohit Aggarwal said.
