Lenzing expands lyocell fill portfolio
Austria-based cellulose fibre producer Lenzing has expanded its Lyocell Fill portfolio for clothing and bedding, and has unveiled the developments at Heimtextil in Frankfurt (January 14–17).
A compatible blending partner with polyester and down, the fill fibres now include a finer variant and a broader range of cut lengths.
Caroline Ledl, senior director of product and application management at Lenzing, said: “These fibres provide not only enhanced thermal comfort and moisture control but also form-keeping properties. The structure allows the absorption and release of moisture. In the final textile product, these effective moisture controlling properties support a drier microclimate on the skin, increasing the wearer’s thermal comfort.”
As the fibres are made from wood, they offer an alternative to fossil-based materials, she added.
