Footwear innovations from Coats will go on show in Milan
Structural components developer Coats Footwear will have a number of innovations, as well as its more established footwear technologies on display at the Lineapelle exhibition in Milan from September 17-19.
Highlights will include 4orest, a line of cellulose materials featuring up to 50% recycled content with a biodegradability higher than 80% to 85% that Coats has said will work well in insoles.
Other products with high levels of sustainability and performance that it will present in Milan include Reform 2.0, a recyclable heel counter with up to 66% sustainably sourced content, Powerflex, a TPU mono-material with a flexible adhesive for toe puffs, Ecostrobe, a recycled insole with chemical-free fusion bonding for strobel applications, and ProWeave, a jacquard weaving technology for engineered uppers or fabrics.
