Special ‘Econogy Hub’ to be part of VIATT 2025
Event organiser Messe Frankfurt has said it will host the second edition of the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) in 2025 in a bid to harness the potential of Vietnam to harness the “tremendous growth prospects” of its textile industry.
The event will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from February 26-28.
Vietnam’s textile and apparel sector comprises approximately 7,000 companies and employs more than 3 million workers, Messe Frankfurt said, quoting the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association.
Around 80% of the garments these companies produce are for export markets.
To help advance sustainable initiatives that are already in evidence in Vietnam, exhibitors and visitors to VIATT 2025, Messe Frankfurt will bring its Econogy Hub initiative to the event.
Econogy is a term that Messe Frankfurt has coined by combining ecology and economy. It has explained that for a product to be sustainable it has to have a good business case behind it.
In the context of VIATT 2025, the Econogy Hub will be a dedicated platform for suppliers and service providers who put strong emphasis on sustainability to connect with like-minded visitors.
