A golfing first for Spiber
Biomaterial developer Spiber has announced that golfwear brand And Per Se has used its Brewed Protein fibre to produce a very limited-edition blouson top. This is the first time its fibre has been used in golf apparel.
And Per Se is one of the brands that form part of outdoor and sports clothing group Goldwin, a long-term supporter of Spiber’s.
It has used the Brewed Protein fibre in a blend with wool to produce its Mole Knit Blouson. It used the fibre combination to make a bouclé yarn. It said the result was a garment offering “the softness of fleece, a lightweight feel and exceptional comfort”.
In total, only 100 garments were available, and only in Japan.
