New president for Filson Outfitters
Seattle-based outdoor clothing brand Filson will be headed by Tim Bantle. An industry veteran, his most recent job was as CEO of Eddie Bauer, also based in Seattle, and before that his career includes stints at VF Canada, The North Face and Black Diamond.

Filson, along with Shinola, is owned by Bedrock Manufacturing Company. The new president’s mission will be to introduce the historic brand both domestically and internationally. Founded 128 years ago, the brand continues to manufacture some of its products in the United States. It operates 16 stores, mostly in the US, with two in Canada and in Italy, and one in Japan.

“Tim has an exceptional track record of developing strategic plans that drive long-term, sustainable growth while preserving the unique heritage of each brand he has led,” commented Steve Katzman, Bedrock Manufacturing Company CEO.
