Outdoor brand’s move into denim has ‘sense of arrival’
Seattle-headquartered outdoor brand Filson has expanded into denim, its first collection made in the US with American, Japanese and Italian materials.

Filson’s chief creative officer Alex Carleton said: “Denim is a timeless and everyday fabric, and there is a sense of arrival with bringing this line into Filson, alongside materials like our Tin Cloth and Mackinaw Wool that consumers have come to know and love.”

Among products, the Lined Denim Short Cruiser jacket is made with raw denim from US mill Cone (pictured), and the limited-edition Rail-Splitter Selvedge Jeans are constructed from Japanese selvedge denim on vintage shuttle looms
