New name and ambitions for Sport 2000
Group Sport 2000, a cooperative of sports and lifestyle retailers in France, is rebranding itself Céraclès Coopérative. This better reflects the trading group’s evolution as Sport 2000 members, which number 700, operate in a wide variety of markets, from cycling to sneakers, and under varied store names such as Mondovélo (cycling), Espace Montagne (outdoor), WAS We Are Select, S2 Sneakers Specialist and Ekosport-Rent. In 2024, total revenues were €831 million, 65% driven by its historical Sport 2000 stores.

The cooperative has also announced the launch of a new growth plan, Sprint 2030, with a clearly stated mission to reach 1000 stores and generate sales of €1.3 billion by 2030. The plan includes boosting the cooperative’s e-commerce platforms and an upgrade of its brick-and-mortar stores. The company has earmarked €30 million for this modernisation plan.

New digital services, a streamlined product offering, more exclusive products and the launch of a multi-channel customer loyalty programme are also a part of the Sprint 2030 plan.

For Emmanuelle Bahuaud, general manager of Céraclès Coopérative, this marks not only a “turning point” in the evolution of the group but the new tagline, Entrepreneurs Commerçants (Entrepreneurial merchants or shopkeepers), also better illustrates its business model and vision.
