Dedicated football store marks ‘major milestone’ for Intersport
Retail group Intersport has opened a first store dedicated exclusively to football. The store is in Athens and will be run by Intersport Greece.
It occupies 1,200 square-metres in the city’s Star Center retail park. It offers a specialised selection of football apparel, equipment and accessories from a range of global brands.
Also on offer at the site is an indoor football pitch, an interactive video football wall and a dedicated gaming area.
Intersport Greece said a part of its vision is to build a strong football community, involving football clubs, team sports associations and sports academies, as well as football enthusiasts among the wider public.
The group said further openings of specialist stores in other parts of Europe will follow in 2026. Chair of Intersport Group, Corinne Gensollen, said the launch of this first dedicated football store marked “a major milestone”.
