Pilots under way for Polygiene’s new cooling product
Antimicrobial technologies provider Polygiene achieved revenues of 41.5 million Swedish kronor in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 18% compared to the same quarter last year.
It said 25% of its revenues had come from sports and outdoor customers and a further 5% from workwear.
Chief executive, Ulrika Björk, said there had been a slightly slow start to 2025 for Polygiene before sales picked up in March.
She said that, over the past year, the Swedish company had focused heavily on developing a new technology, long requested by customers: an effective temperature-regulating solution. “The result is StayCool,” she explained, “activated by moisture and heat and able to lower textile temperature by up to 3 degrees.”
The product has now launched globally following its introduction at Performance Days in Munich in March. Ms Björk said it was a milestone in Polygiene’s ambition to remain at the forefront of functional textile solutions.
“Interest has been overwhelming,” she said, “and several pilot projects with our partners are already under way.”
