FFF set to open next week
The Functional Fabric Fair, powered by Performance Days, has released its programme of events for its New York edition, on July 22 and 23, at the Javits Centre. 

A new section dedicated to innovation will be on show, co-curated by Future Fabrics Expo and the Functional Fabric Fair. 

The programme of expert talks, moderated by Charles Ross, covers performance colours trends, by Nora Kühner, and a talk on tariffs delivered by Rick Helfenbein, former head of the American Apparel & Footwear Association, on the first day. The second day features a talk on women designing for women, by Patricia Langan, founder of Women for Women’s Wear, and how to better manage 3D garment design by Jaime Griggs and Dr Jan Beringer of the Hohenstein Institute. 

The Day 0 Sustainability Workshop, held the day before the show opens, will dig deep into eco-responsible strategies for the outdoor apparel and footwear industry. Three respected industry experts have prepared the programme, consultants Jill Dumain and Todd Copeland along with bluesign global brand manager Kevin Myette.
