Sports clothing manufacturer to go into administration
Spanish business publication Cinco Días has reported that Valencia-based sports clothing and equipment manufacturer Luanvi has gone into administration.
It said the company had tried to negotiate agreements with creditors but had been unsuccessful. The courts have approved its application to enter into administration. The courts will now appoint representatives to negotiate with Luanvi’s creditors.
Luanvi launched in the 1970s. It soon specialised in making apparel for team sports, including football, basketball, handball and volleyball. It has also made clothing for running, tennis and padel.
In November 2024, one of its founders, Vicente Tarancón, was confirmed as one of the more than 200 victims of devastating floods in the region around Valencia.
