Teijin Frontier is to expand production of its high-tenacity recycled polyester filament yarn at its manufacturing site in Thailand.

The fibres division of Tokyo-based industrial group Teijin said its plant at Pathumthani, 70 kilometres north of Bangkok, would begin an expansion project in November, with additional volumes of the polyester yarns one of the expected benefits.

It said demand for recycled polyester filament yarns with enhanced functionality, such as high tenacity and flame resistance, is increasing.
