Yarn producer Tearfil reaffirms its commitment to Spinnova
Portuguese yarn producer Tearfil has committed to strengthening its partnership with wood-based fibre producer Spinnova. The two companies began working together in 2023.
Following a period of turbulence at Spinnova, they have now signed a new letter of intent, confirming Spinnova’s commitment to supplying its fibres to Tearfil and the Portuguese company’s intent to use these fibres in its spinning processes and supply its customers in Europe and beyond with new yarn blends containing Spinnova.
Tearfil chief executive, Maria de Belém Machado, said: “Spinnova fibre is a significant advancement in sustainable materials and we are proud to be at the forefront of its industrial adoption. This collaboration not only enhances our product offerings but also aligns with our vision of promoting environmental responsibility and innovation. We are committed to pioneering sustainable practices in the textile industry.”
