New funding and new CEO for ‘controlled disassembly’ specialist

26/02/2026

Swiss textile technology company Climatex has secured 3.2 million Swiss francs in new funding thanks to an investment led by a fund called the Collateral Good Textile & Fashion Innovation Fund.

Climatex develops specialist threads designed to enable “controlled disassembly” of garments at end of life and to make it easier and quicker to recover high-quality material for reuse.
It said it would use the new funding to accelerate its international scale-up.

There will also be a change in the company’s leadership, with co-CEOs, Adrian Obrist and Patric Rupp moving aside. They will remain on the board and as shareholders of Climatex. Camilla Skjønning Jørgensen will be the company’s new chief executive.

Ms Skjønning Jørgensen was head of product innovation and circularity at fashion group Bestseller until 2024. On confirming that she will now join Climatex, she said that the Swiss company’s platform had been technically validated and that she was looking forward to making circular construction viable at scale.
