‘Sustainability-led’ China lifts Intertextile Shanghai
The spring 2026 edition of Intertextile Shanghai closed on March 13 after three successful days. Organiser, Messe Frankfurt, said it was pleased by good visitor numbers and positive feedback from exhibitors.
There was widespread international participation at the fair, although China-based buyers and fashion-industry professionals made up the largest group.
Messe Frankurt’s managing director in Hong Kong, Wendy Wen, said she thought the event had been a good reflection of wider changes that are taking place in China’s textiles and garment manufacturing sectors.
“The industry is changing rapidly from mass manufacturing to an innovation-led supply chain in which sustainability is now standard,” she said.
