Guangzhou innovator prepares to take new fabrics to Tokyo
Fabric innovator Regentech will be among the exhibitors at FaW Tokyo 2026, which claims to be Japan’s largest textiles and fashion event. The exhibition runs in the Japanese capital from April 8-10.
Regentech said it would use the Tokyo event to present new developments in engineered knit fabrics.
Based in Guangzhou, Regentech was founded in 2016 and has said its aim is to become a key partner for mid-to-high-end global partners. Speaking at Intertextile Shanghai at the start of March, it said it has a focus on sustainable materials, natural and synthetic.
At its fabric mill, it is currently using cotton, silk, wool, viscose, modal and other fibres to create a high number of new fabrics per year.
It also explained that it was working hard to reduce the consumption of water in its production, with volumes having come down from a previous level 7 cubic-metres per tonne of fabric produced to 3 cubic-metres now. “Water-saving is a game changer for us now,” the company said.
It said it was currently achieving annual growth of between 30% and 40%.
