Zip and fastening technology developer YKK has signed up for membership of multi-stakeholder group ZDHC. The Amsterdam-based group works to help manufacturers achieve zero discharge of hazardous chemicals.

YKK said this marked a significant step in its efforts to strengthen its management of chemicals, increase transparency and support industry standards.
