Technical textile group Getzner Textil has acquired a majority stake in a Switzerland-based developer of membrane materials and protective textiles. 

The Swiss company, Phantomleaf Textiles, will now change its name to Membryx. Getzner invested in 2025, acquiring a 30% stake. It has now moved to increase its stake in the company to 70.5% of the shares. 

Founders, Annette and Rick van Es, will hold the remaining shares in Membryx and will continue to run the company. 

Getzner said it wanted to strengthen its expertise in functional protective textiles and expand its portfolio to include innovative membrane and textile technologies.
