New branding for unspun 3D weaving technology

14/08/2026

Textile technology innovator unspun is introducing a new name for its 3D weaving technology, formerly known as Vega and now called OneWeave. The company said the new name makes more sense as its technology basically “weaves yarn straight into a 3D shape, in one go”.

The company based in San Francisco and Hong Kong has been working on new fibre blends and fabric constructions. One major breakthrough is a 2x1 canvas fabric, which unspun sees as a possible unlock for five-pocket styles and chinos. Also new, blank-canvas fabrics as ready-to-dye options and a raised micro texture weave.

New fibre blends include two Ecovero/wool blends and a pure Ecovero viscose.
