TEXPO, dedicated to meeting the requirements of the region's apparel and allied industries, is scheduled to take place at the Expo Centre Sharjah from September 12-15, 2005.

It is hoped that the event will attract both garment manufacturers and those involved in related industries such as tent makers, boat builders and others looking out for new technology and solutions to cope with the challenges facing the industry post quota 2005.

"Post Quota 2005, garment manufacturers in the region are seeking specialisation to attract buyers," said Mr. Fasahat Ali Khan, acting director of Expo Centre Sharjah.

"TEXPO 2005 will be a one stop platform for the apparel industry to identify solutions and technology that will not only bring down production costs but also enhance quality," he added.
