A number of firms from the clothing, textiles and outdoor leisure sector have been awarded a Queen's Award for Enterprise – said to be the UK's highest accolade for business-related success.

In total, Her Majesty The Queen Elaizabeth II announced a total of 145 Awards to coincide with her 80th Birthday - the highest total for 11 years. There are 90 awards for International Trade, 48 for Innovation and seven for Sustainable Development.

This year's winners from the clothing, textiles and outdoor leisure sectors include John Foster of England Ltd., Ardmel Automation Ltd., Berghaus Ltd., Fox Brothers & Co Ltd., Tilsatec, a Division of Sirdar Spinning Ltd. and Waterside Manufacturing Ltd t/a Englands.
