Texon unveils latest insoling material

09/06/2006
Texon International launched a new nonwoven insoling material at the 2006 Shoes and Leather Exhibition (May 30 – June 2) in Guangzhou, China.

Texon Sprint is a nonwoven material using a new “hook-bonded” method of manufacturing, specially developed for Strobel lasting. The process, engineered to avoid adding thread and weight to the nonwoven base, takes the fibres directly from the nonwoven material to form a stitch, which becomes an integral part of the three dimensional structure of the product.

Made from needled polyester fibre, blended and heat-treated, Texon Sprint material is permeable to both air and moisture, making it ideal for use in casual and sports footwear.

Thanks to its high abrasion resistance and good tear strength, it can also be used as a vamp lining.
