UK’s first corporate clothing, workwear and PPE conference

A conference entitled 'Clothing the Workplace' has been organised by corporate clothing, workwear, PPE and textiles website Director-e and an independent and non-profit making forum for clothing and textiles, the ASBCI. It will be held at Mottram Hall in Cheshire, on October 24 and will present speakers from various customer, supplier and research organisations in the work, corporate and technical clothing sector. These will include Bureau Veritas CPS UK, Carrington Career & Workwear, the DTI, DuPont Personal Protection, John Lewis PLC, London Fire Brigade and Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service, Malcolm Ball Associates, W.L. Gore & Associates (UK), Simon Jersey, Syscom PLC, The Woolmark Company, the University of Leeds and more.
 

Speakers have been asked to clarify the ‘global’ sourcing scene, ‘must know’ standards, design imperatives, buyer priorities and latest innovations currently shaping the corporate clothing, workwear and PPE industry. Subjects addressed will range from ‘What does a buyer really want?’ wardrobe management and colour communication through to standards updates on EN471 and EN343, global sourcing hotspots, quotas on imports and the current status of smart and interactive textile developments.
