Quality assurance solutions provider for the footwear and leather goods industry CTC Asia, the Hong Kong subsidiary of France-based CTC, has expanded and updated its laboratory. Its surface area has been increased five-fold to accommodate new testing machinery including sole abrasimeters, sole flexometers and tensile machines.

The expansion has been carried out in response to growing demand for CE label commodities for products such as shoes and gloves for professional usage. The company is the only laboratory in Hong Kong to run the entire range of tests on safety gloves and has held HOKLAS accreditation in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17025:1999 since September 2005.

CTC Asia provides laboratory testing for leather shoes, accessories, gloves and bags, as well as chemical analysis for textiles, plastics, and leather, finished-product inspections, and performance analyses.
