AWI, Stoll and Südwolle pull together

05/03/2008

Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) and provider of flat knitting machines Stoll have partnered to create a new knitwear collection called World Traveller. It will feature men's and women's clothing for the active traveller. Worsted wool yarn spinner Südwolle will work alongside the two companies, providing Australian Merino yarn for the collection.

The knitwear collection is machine washable and is designed to be both fashionable and technical. It also aims to be lightweight and 'packable'.

Ersoy Buran, director of business development & international sourcing at Stoll, adds: "We all service the same group of customers and share the same goal to promote product, so we do more business at the end of the day and everybody wins."

"It's truly different from anything in the market," says Stuart McCullough, director of North American operations at AWI.
