Algie acquires Tamahine knitwear plant

Algie Clothing's brands include outdoor labels such as Peak XV and Shearwater. It will employ 38 staff when it takes possession of Tamahine on July 1. This is its first manufacturing facility and it will continue to run Tamahine's brands such as Jackson Bay, Aotearoa, Katie Cullen, Ecology, MacKenzie Country, dot.com.nz and Cirrus.
Tamahine is a Dunedin-based firm specialising in the design and manufacture of itechnically advanced knitwear and accessories. Its products range from women's fashion yo llifestyle, originals and work wear. It is also the manufacturer of the Tamahine All Blacks knitwear range.
