Intertek launches textile-related iPhone apps
Quality and safety solutions provider Intertek has launched two iPhone applications (apps) to provide consumer goods testing, inspection and compliance professionals with key industry information.
Its new Textile Compliance Guide EU and US CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) apps are free to download at the online Apple App Store. The applications are designed to help consumer goods industry professionals to stay in the loop about regulations in the world of textile compliance and consumer product safety while they are on-the-go.
The Textile Compliance Guide EU app covers fibres, yarns and fabrics through to finished products. It also offers legislation specific to the European Union and countries within the European Economic Area.
The US CPSIA app contains the content of the act by section and in full text, supplemented with frequently asked questions about compliance and safety testing requirements.
“With testing, compliance and auditing regulations constantly changing, it is important that consumer goods industry professionals have access to key information wherever they are,” the company says.
