Rhodia and Fulgar to bring skin-friendly product to Europe

Chemical company Rhodia and Italian yarn producer Fulgar have announced a joint agreement to produce and market in Europe Emana, a polyamide 66 yarn with bioactive mineral crystals in its polymer matrix.

The result of four years of development in Rhodia’s research centres, Emana can be used to produce sportswear, underwear or shapewear that, according to the manufacturers, aids blood circulation and cellular metabolism, improves the elasticity and smoothness of the skin, reduces signs of cellulite and prevents muscle fatigue.
