JRC-REFLEX signs a global contract with ENI
French high-tech textile trimming specialist JRC-REFLEX has signed a contract with petroleum company ENI, to outfit staff at the firm. The supplier of flexible ‘retro-reflective’ materials recently won the bid to supply fabrics that will be used to make the uniforms of ENI employees around the world.
ENI is in the process of creating a new corporate identity, phasing out the former Agip brand in favour of ENI. Part of this process includes redesigning employee uniforms, which led the energy firm to choose JRC-REFLEX’s functional retro-reflective fabric. The fabrics chosen by ENI come in two colours, yellow and silver, and satisfy the firm’s strict safety norms, specifically with regard to security. In addition to its high reflective power, the material also boasts unique water repellent and antistatic properties.
The three-year contract awarded to JRC-REFLEX will generate EUR1 million in revenue for the company. The first order of fabrics, made in Europe, will be delivered before the end of 2011. The finished garments, which are also made in Europe, will be delivered in early 2012.
