JRC-Reflex launches 30% lighter reflective black material

The French company will present the four-way stretch graphite black reflective fabric, aimed at the running and cycling markets, at the Performance Days fair in Munich next week.
The material is 30% lighter than the company’s original offering, while exceeding 400 cdlx (candle power, measure of luminous intensity for the silver colour reference).
The reflective microbeads are coated on a high stretch polyamide/elastane backing fabric, and it is available as fabric or trimmings.
“Many of our clients in women’s wear no longer want to use silver reflective materials that are too masculine or workwear oriented. With the new Graphite transfer tape and fabric they will be able to offer superior safety performance without sacrificing fashion and style,” said Céline Cugerone, CEO of JRC.
JRC supplied the reflective material Nike athletes wore on the podiums at the London 2012 Olympics.
