Reflective fabrics-maker JRC Reflex has presented its latest developments at Milano Unica – widening designers’ options with more textured looks.

The French-headquartered company adds minute glass beads to fabric at its facility in Italy, creating reflective materials in a variety of colours.

The fabric is usually flat, but by adding texture – in the form of raised squares, lines and hexagonal patterns – more character can be added. “This offers designers more choice, and is very different,” chief executive Céline Cugerone told Sportstextiles, adding that customers have been impressed with the development.

JRC specialises in creating reflective looks on stretch fabrics, and can make custom colours for brand partners if required.
