Milano Unica opens next week
The 43rd edition of the textile trade event held at Fiera Milano (Rho) is set to open its doors next week, from July 7 to 9. European mills will be presenting their FW 27/28 collections across the many sections of the show. Wool fabrics are featured in the Ideabiella section (Hall 1), along with shirting fabrics (Shirting Avenue). Moda In Accessories, the innovation area, Maredimoda and start-ups will be exhibiting in Hall 3. Hall 5 houses Moda In Fabrics, from functional fabrics to silks, whereas Hall 7 focuses on Moda In knit fabric suppliers. The Japan and Korea observatories present leading mills from those countries, in halls 1 and 3 respectively.
Inspirational sections, dedicated to seasonal trends – MU is PUNK! this season – include TheCube Archive, which will also focus on the punk era, and a photo exhibition (The radical elegance of Gian Paolo Barbieri).
