ISPO reveals entries for Textrends forum

The forum will feature products in eight categories, while the top 10 will be revealed at the show in February.
Many companies - such as Cordura, LMA and JRC Reflex - are represented across a number of categories.
The ‘soft equipment’ category includes Trueway and Xing He; outer layer fabrics are represented by Chia Her, A Sampaio, Elcat and Kingwhale; baselayers feature Sheico, Nylstar, Singtex and FENC; membrane specialists include Polartec and Formosa Taffeta; while fibres and insulation companies include PrimaLoft, 37.5 and Toray.
Louisa Smith, trend expert and jury member, said: “The companies participating in this year’s ISPO TEXTRENDS experimented with a lot of colours, new structures and textures, combined with innovative processes. I noticed a trend towards lighter fabric qualities and the combination of new and existing fibres and finishes, yielding interesting results and materials with extremely high performance.”
