Agion and Sitip to produce scent-control knitwear
Sciessent, maker of Agion Active and Agion Lava, and Sitip, which produces warp knits, introduced new fabric technology at Performance Days, which ran May 9-10 in Munich.
The two firms launched Sitip’s new Point and Ritmo fabrics, which feature Agion’s odour-control properties and can be used to make performance and athletic apparel, intimates and swimwear.
Agion Active is a dual technology applied to textiles as a fabric finish to reduce odour. Agion Lava is a mineral-based finish, which adsorbs vapour-based odours that cling to garments.
"At Sitip, we strive to offer new technologies in order to provide brands with an evolving line of differentiated, performance fabrics," said Sergio Alibrandi, executive marketing manager at Sitip.
"When we experienced the stringent performance of Agion Lava odour-management
finish, as the latest and most environmental friendly technology, we were sure
that we were offering our customers a superior solution that sets a new
standard for performance features."
