Volcom to launch full shoe collection

14/02/2013
Skating, surfing and snowboarding brand Volcom has launched a closed-toe footwear line for the first time in its 22-year history. It has been making sandals and other open-toe footwear for five years.

Founded in the early 1990s, Volcom became part of the PPR group in 2011. Inspired by other PPR brands, including Puma, Volcom’s management team soon began to think about shoes and the result is a new collection comprising 10 styles for men and nine for women, ranging from flats to wedges to outdoor boots.

California-based Volcom said it would tap into the network of outsource footwear manufacturing partners already being used by Puma to make the shoes.
