Volcom unveils “performance” jeans for skateboarders

Kering-owned sportswear group Volcom has teamed up with textile manufacturing company Cone Denim to create a line of “performance” jeans designed to cope with the rigours of skateboarding. 

“It all started with the idea that we needed better performing denim in all elements,” said Brian Richardson, global youth and men’s merchandising director for Volcom.

The ‘Stone Made’ denim collection uses a technical fabric that is odour- and water-resistant, has extra stretch properties and is less likely to tear. It has been extensively tested by Volvom’s sponsored team of skateboarders, who provided feedback at different stages of production.
