Taiwanese firms celebrate deals inked in Beijing

Taiwanese companies secured about $480,000-worth of orders at the recent Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics fair, The Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) told local media.

The 26 Taiwanese exhibitors, including sportswear and eco-friendly fabric companies, are expected to receive $2.5 million in orders from overseas buyers once all the deals go through.

TTF said 850 foreign buyers visited their booths with interested brands including Burberry, Polo Ralph Lauren and H&M. 

The fair was held at the China International Exhibition Centre at the end of March and housed 1,330 exhibitors from 16 countries.
