Certification first for Unifi

Responsible Source certification is a mark of environmental and social responsibility in production. SCS has awarded this status to Unifi for its Repreve recycled polyester products.
Managing director of SCS’s environmental certification services, Stowe Hartridge-Beam, said at the time of the announcement that the certification would give apparel and textile companies “a new level of transparency” about raw material inputs for recycled products
For his part, Unifi’s vice-president for global branding, Jay Hertwig, said: “This certification is important to Unifi, as it further shows our commitment in providing our customers with quality, transparent and responsibly manufactured Repreve-based products.”
